Stall Torque Motors (unwinding)

A stall torque motor's speed drops to zero as it is loaded. If driven backwards, it resists with an almost constant torque, which makes it ideal for unwinding on cable reeling drums. Supplied to Mark standard and as direct replacements for Demag, AKH and others. Squirrel cage design since 1984-85, slip ring design since 1995.

Applications: Cable reeling drums on stackers, reclaimers and trippers in steel plants, cement plants, power stations, ports and docks
